Thinking the same thing but if you plan to pick it you probably will defoliate it. At least we will have some cotton to pick, some don't , but I have never seen cotton go down so fast as it has the last two weeks. I would say our growing area has lost 3 to 4 hundred lbs in that time frame. We, our growing area, had an excellent crop 2 weeks ago but it has went to hell in a hand basket. Luckly I went mostly all cotton this year but for beans that I have and everyone else they was a beautyful crop a week ago but they are history now. It is 1:30 and coming home my truck was bumping 100-102 and that is hot for us, and yes have some irrigated cotton and 3 of the pivots which covers most acres the damn creek, which is large, is not flowing enough for the pump to run. Yes I famed it up and still not enough, just seems like we are screwed this year. Yes I hate to complain because some people won't harvest anything. Me probley finish, def, and prep probably not in that order.
