Near-north Ontario, French River | Problem with 'reducing the seed cost' route is that it would not be noticeable. Company is probably spending in the neighbourhood of $50-100 per customer to put on the appreciation day. Spread that out over a 500 bag bean order and 100 bags of corn and the price reduction may be as little as $.17/unit. Can you just imagine the howls if the company came out and said ' no more appreciation days, we are lowering our prices $.17/unit !! " LOL. For a really large account the reduction could be less then $.01/unit. |
