Across S MN I was surprised to see patches of very yellow corn in places. Almost like it was too dry or maybe too wet but much of this was on high spots and they have had plenty of rain

It was both - too wet into June, now pretty dry the last month. Roots didn't grow in the saturated soil, now the water & nutrients are deep but the corn didn't root down in time to find them.

The low spots look good from the road but they are thin and shorter than they appear; the high spots are drying out & not getting what they need.

Just another interesting year of farming. :)
