Earth | There is actually nothing wrong with the v2.0 f/w & there is no indication that installing it will cause any issues. It is recommended that only EZ-Boom users upgrade to it because almost all the additional functionality between v1.01 & v2.0 is related to EZ-Boom. There is one non EZ-Boom enhancement that should make it easier to tune EZ-Steer on self propelled sprayers & swathers. There are 2 new parameters in the EZ-Steer vehicle setup - "Swather Steering Delay" & "Sprayer Steering Delay". For info on what they do / how to use them, read the release notes. Unless you have a self propelled sprayer, a swather &/or you run EZ-Boom, there's not a lot of point upgrading to v2.0 - especially if you are happy with the v1.01 performance.
On your comment re: projects being simply "pushed out the door" - the EZ-Guide 500 v2.0 f/w had a significant amount of testing both within Trimble & in the field in several countries prior to release. That's not to say that it is guaranteed to be 100% issue-free, but I think that most users will find that it is a stable product that performs to their expectations. | |
