| I guess you guys up there get the long cool summer like we had in 2009 every year. We had a lot more bushels that year with the mild weather and cool(downright cold sometimes) nights, but the drying bill ate up most of that extra revenue.
I did strip till this year and had about 50# of N (along with other nutrients) banded 5" deep under the row. That worked great, and I back off a little on the total lbs of N I applied this year and so far everything is still dark green and we are just beginning dent. I'm a little surprised that you have to apply that much total N when you are spoonfeeding like that. | |
