Central NE | I think it is a great hybrid and it is all I plant anymore on whole fields of dryland in Smith Co Ks, & Webster Co NE. I plant some on Irrigated too. I keep trying other varieties that the seed reps and others suggest, but I keep coming back to N68B. I planted quite a bit N74C based on suggestions and yield trials, but greensnap had its way with it in Buffalo Co NE this year and my test strip of N68B on the same farm was unfazed by the winds.
It has great roots and tremendous flex and ear size if conditions allow. I think that is why it does so well in areas that rainfall is unpredictable. I hope they never quit selling the variety.
Edit: I have been growing it for 3 years now and it has shown the most Gray Leaf Spot of the varieties I've tried and it doesn't seem to matter on yield. I have never sprayed it with a fungicide yet.
