| I have been following crop talk this year. Never did before. I have learned a lot of new terms with regard to quality problems most are seeing. That is why I walked out to the inside the field to look closer.
Plant population, (within reasonable limits), never did concern me like it does a lot of people. I believe there is too much variation in seeds, dirt, weather conditions and insects to say that 33,000 vs 35,000 will be better in any given year.
If I said it was 55,000 how would you know that number is acceptable without you knowing the seed variety and other variables?
BTW, not arguing any point here. We just trust our renters to do the best they can. When I say renters I am referring to 2 brothers that farm together.
