Several years ago a group of 4-H fathers decided that there was too
many kids "without connections" animals getting left behind in the bidding.
We as group, pooled our money and bid up any animal that was lagging in price. We bought under the name "The Poor Boy Commitee" or something like that (it's been too many years).
