| Spray spray spray.... Leverage or the generic components that make it up is a pretty good product. We'll never be completely ahead of bugs like we tend to be of weeds in beans, but knocking down the populations once in while, I think, keeps insect pressure more manageable (prevents that 'oh no' situation). For a long time no insecticide was used, but when root worm and other bugs started over wintering in beans (so rotation didn't stop the cycle) we started using insecticide at planting. However, not much in the way of control was used after that. With high crop prices and cheap insecticides it seems like it's time to reduce a little insect pressure. We don't need every bug dead, but we don't need significant yield loss from lack of management either. You won't be killing off too many bugs, causing global warming, causing skirts to get longer or Obama to hang out with Rush (but it would be good), so get r done.
