A friend of mine told his son when he was young, "if you ever come home with an earring, I'll rip it right out of your ear". That seemed to work. He never came home with an earring and turned out to be a pretty nice young man with a good job. Actually, some of you might know him, he just recently got a job with a company called Select Sires and travels the country now for that company.
