We first started renting VHS videos @ a local-owned store about 31 yrs ago. I remember distinctly that we had to leave a $75.00 deposit before taking the 1st movie home. I think rentals were about $2.50 then....plus late fees.

Also, on another note, I had a neighbor call & ask about Netflix saying he's a Redbox user. One of his criticisms of RB is their lack of "older (?)" movies. I'm unfamiliar w/RB so I don't know if that's correct or not. One thing we've always been astounded with was the turn-around time on NF.
