Correct. Internet streaming has been included in your plan at no extra cost all along. What Netflix is doing is separating them - offering one or the other for $7.99/month. Users who have been using both streaming AND DVD's, will need to start paying $15.98/month (1 DVD at a time).

We've been subscribers for about a year - using both streaming and 1 DVD at a time. The DVD option is nice since content is available sooner on them than streaming. I'm not sure what to think about the new plans yet. We've been paying $9.99/month and this has always seemed too good to be true. I've though all along that Netflix would sooner or later be required to raise their prices to keep the entertainment industry happy.

You should have given the streaming option a try before you changed your plan if you have broadband internet. It works very, very well - with very minimal buffering. We watch stuff both on the computer and an AppleTV box connected to our television. This has pretty much replaced watching network TV for us. Ever since they switched to digital TV, we only get one station in reliably. The kids love it as well.
