Subject: Roasting a goat. Need advice

Elkhart, Illinois
I have been asked to roast a goat for a group of 40-50 who claim they want to try something different. As many of you know, I have cooked many things for groups but this is a new one.

From what I have read, low temps work best and sounds like it should be prepared to about 150 degrees. My questions are what to season with and what wood to use for smoke source.

Also, the group claims to have a source for the goat but they don't know how old it would be, diet, etc. If anyone knows of a source, LOCALLY, for a young, grain fed meat goat, please advise.
