southern Illinois | We have had the same problem a couple times in the past few years, not this one, cant plant now for the mud here.
In your case what we always did is plant the beans deep into dry ground, around 1 1/2 inches deep so a small rain wont sprout them. When you get enough rain to sprout them that deep its usually going to be enough to get them up fine. We are clay so if you are in sand, 1 1/2 inches deep may not be deep for you. | |
