Downtown Shell Knob MO Come Visit!
I want to see the field that was hog manured and notilled? I bet it looks good right now!. ;)

I have the same situtation 30 miles north. Except for both fields are notill corn on corn with my famous "weed mix" cover crop. But with one difference. One landowner felt the need to put some cows on the stalks this fall. I hope the cows made him some money because I expect the lack of surface residue and increased surface compaction to cause a 50 bushel yield loss this year. Its a flexiable cash rent and he asked if he could put a cow or two in the field this winter (but not 150) He was worried I would be mad, but I explained to him that I hoped he liked making $20 ac on a year that everyone else would make it rich with 7 dollar corn.
Btw Variety will determine early season leaf curl more than anyone would imagine. my plots have shown that the last couple years. Be sure to let keep us informed during harvest. :)
