NEMO | Went to the in-laws in Ohio for the weekend. Hwy 36 in MO, Hwy 72 in Illinois to Hwy 74 at Champaign across to Indy and then down to Ohio.
Western to Central Illinois (Mississippi river to Springfield to Decatur) has a lot of corn tasseling (35-50%) and looking really, really good (The exception would be along the Illinois river bottom).
Decatur on East appears to be a little behind the west side, but corn looks good.
Didn't see any corn tasseling in Indiana but most looked good (and short) from Illinois line to Indianapolis, but from Indianapolis on east to Ohio is a different story. A lot of short corn and/or tough looking corn that has a long way to go. I wasn't into Ohio very far but what I did see wasn't very good and everyone talked about how wet and late it was.
Just 75 MPH windshield observations. Does this seem accurate to those of you in these areas? | |
