sw ontario | Stability of gov't is important in food and prices , as ones in hogs in Ontario that knew Duarte Santo's whose family had substantial holdings in grain farming and hogs in Angola and where 2nd or 3rd generation families (farmers) there where given 24 hr. notice that gov't was taking all there assets and re-distributing them and they had too flee with what they could put in a land rover and too save there lives also,this was about '75 I believe,anyways 15 yrs. or so later gov't of Angola asked them too return and farm there old place,(what was left of it) and they naturally declined . I was impressed with this Portuguese guy as he was not bitter and went on with life and had a degree as a vet but couldn't practice in NA as not "recognized" here...with all going on we should think about July1 and 4 and be pretty thankful | |
