I replanted corn in Northern Iowa on the 17 th of June one year. It was out of the ground in 4 days and took off like a weed. We had a late fall and it made black layer about 14 days later than the corn planted in early May. I had ulcers all summer looking at it though. The test weight was down to 52# and the moisture was in the mid 20's. At least it was better than nothing, yield was in the 120's
