That's what raised the question Jon. I cant figure out how my neighbor has a CP1360 which is a series 1000, but with a tilt hood from the factory. The tilt hood has a slightly different front frame rail surround. The text article there states that the safari cab started with the 1000 series and at the same time a sloped hood (non tilt) was put on for visibility. I was considering buying a tilt hood from a local parts yard, but I cant because the frame rails are different. Probably for the best as though it would be nicer for service, it would not be as visible.
