| Maybe this http://www.ips.gov.au/Solar/1/6 (check the graph at the bottom of the page) has something to do with the problem. A correction station located close to the receiver really helps the solar activity problem. RTK receivers have close correction stations. Beacon correction from a close beacon can also compensate for solar flares. The newer non-beacon Trimble receivers can use beacon correction with an AgGps 132 supplying the corrections.
