make SURE those teats on the bull's scrotum which you keep hiefers out of, are UP square and ABOVE his scrotum ( NOT on the scrotum, NOT 2 of the teats down an inch or so on the scrotum and down from the belly so to speak etc.. )
( ANY other variaion throws a very high % of udder defect hiefers ).
There are plenty of bulls out there..where they have 2 teats down and inch to 2 on the front part of the scrotum...and EVERY bull that does not have those teats UP above the scrotum and SQUARE throws defect uddered hiefers.
THAT simple too.
Herfy folks should have learned this years ago...but failed.
Angus folks to a large degree now also.
Just another tool to take "slopey" uddered cows out before they ever happen.
That information might be as worthless as tits on a boar. I'll get back to you in 2 or 3 years after some research. |
