This is one of the dirty little secrets of Part 25 transport category airplane certification. Everybody always heres that at or below Va, one can make any control input as abruptly as they like with out any damage. However nobody ever mentions the little caveat that yaw control test is only required to move full deflection to the stops or 300 lbs of control force. It says nothing about full scale occillations from stop to stop. | |
