Subject: Re: who plants with autosteer and waas???

Leesburg, Ohio
Used WAAS on an EZsteer to plant corn for four years. I made it work, and it was somewhat less stressful than steering by hand, but still had to use markers, and had to "nudge" the line almost every round.

Deere's SF1 is alot more stable than WAAS, and might be a better choice for row crops. It won't work for strip till, tho.

IMHO, I would have been lots of money ahead if I had just "bitten the bullet" in the beginning and bought a full Greenstar system, instead of wasting time and lots of money on two different "cheaper" guidance systems. Buy a good system that can be expanded to full functionality without giving up $ on limited-function components that will end up gathering dust.
