Part of the problem is that too many people do put faith in technology instead of where Faith should be.... But until that time the ideas that spring forth could be amazing. In the last 30 years the amount of technological advancements has been astounding. In 30 more I would imagine the growth will be exponential. The promise that fission power holds is astonishing as it the amount material that can power it. The growth of biofuels I think will jump by leaps and bounds once such crops as industrial hemp are fully exploited. The solar cell as it stands right now is amazingly inefficient, but in the future who knows what will be engineered. The big problem is the government picking winners and losers as it sees fit. The market for innovation should be viewed as the next great frontier of adventure and riches instead of the child of some government agency. Like the old saying "you ain't seen nothin yet!".
