Subject: Re: Teflon tape or pipe compound?

I must use different poly pipe fitting that some others because I use the Blue Rector Seal on everything and have NEVER had one leak last year after I plumbed the fertilizer tank on the planter I had one dripping thought what the heck this has never happened before so I bought a new fitting figured I would have one one hand so after I broke it when I tightened it up to much I would have the new on hand so I took the hose off and proceded to tighten it up and the it turned so easy the pipe wrench fell off anyways to make long story short the fitting was not much more than finger tight forgot to ever tighten it. Only time I use tape is on 3" Stainless and other metal fittings, put the tape on plus the blue rector seal. Dennis SEND
