I think I read in market talk that most of our current budget spending consists of social security, defense, and medicare.  And paying interest on our debt will exceed all three combined in the not so distant future.......  I could be wrong on that, my mind is on other things.

Yes, we need cuts.  The Ethanol thing is a grain of sand in the big picture.   Im not against it going away, I think more needs to go away.  I also think 90% plus of the farmers who post here wouldn't mind getting rid of direct payments, cut the crop insurance subsidy a bunch and get the gubernment of our backs...... Again, I could be wrong.


I just learned last week that some people get money back after they file taxes.......    Im not that special.
