Now that's a nice finish to it. That cutting of the concrete will definitely help from having unwanted cracks in your floor. I did the same thing to my shop floor. I don't have any cracks in mine after 5 years yet (knock on wood). I would have like to just let it all one slab but knew better not to. Did they put a sealant on it also when they got done?
