I can see where you're coming form, but I don't agree with with your comment that "the thought that some of my money funds things I do not believe in, upsets me." Your money isn't funding these ads. Your money is funding the profits, or at least going towards the bottom line, of these companies. They are using their advertisement money to generate more sales. You could argue that monies generated from these ads are recylced again for paying ads, but come on...businesses gotta spend money to make money.
Do you really belive that Ford & Toyota sat down in their meeting and decided it was high-time to support TV shows that have homos in them? Or did they sit down and decide to air their ads during "prime-time slots," in order to reach as many people as possible?
