Subject: Outback E-Drive with Baseline

Talking to a rep. for Outback yesterday at farm show. Quoted a price of approximately $11,000 for complete Outback E-Drive S2 with base line. Platform kit for two tractors. Talking about 4" accuracy. Will be using to strip till on 30", hoping to go back and plant with unit. Questions: Is the price right? Any experience with accuracy? (Relatively flat terrain, no terraces) Is this the best bang for the buck right now? Talking about a 90 waiting list at this point. I know this unit is new, so there probably won't be that many that have lots of experience, but surely there is some. I will need to order soon for fall strip tillage. Incidentally I talked to a Trimble dealer asking about EZ steer with RTK. Can't be done he said. I told him about this forum and what I have been reading. Never heard of it! Wow! :)
