NW Minnesota | Also, it just might be that since you're not calving and have a good strong young animal in the first place, you won't have any health or vet calls as long as you feed them right. Buying a 6 to 700# steer in the fall you should be able to butcher spring to mid summer without pushing them too hard. If calves have had all their vaccinations and ivomec/dectomax before purchase, that should be all they need. Of course things can happen, but for the most part no problems. | |
