Subject: Truck frame addition question.

 Hi all.
A local farmer wants to start travelling a bit around the USA. Mostly west side, but wherever is fine too. He's going to use a class 8 and do a conversion of sorts to make it an rv. The back end of the frame is a bit short for the finishing of the conversion. He wants to put a short flat bed on the tail to haul a pickup or off road vehicle of sorts.

We were discussing a couple ideas. We came up with 2 so far, but are not sure which is more favorable. I scribbled some lines on a piece of paper to attempt to illistrate the thoughts. I'm leaning toward the second one because it allows an anchor point on the frame for the front half further forward on the frame. This should reduce that dreaded bed chatter that happens when bump'n down the road.

What is your opinion? Which concept seems more sound, or what would you do?  Please keep in mind the scribbling has no dimensional scale whatsoever. The overhang is minimal and is quite within legal limits. Basically there is enough frame to hard mount enough bed for supporting the heavy engine end axle of the vehicle, and the lighter weight tail end would be on the hinged tail of the bed. Ramps and that sort of detail is easy to work out later, just curious about the ideas for the design.
 Thanks.
