I realize that I have used it two years and the depreciation that goes along with it, but we dont have a number either to say they didn't make me a good offer. 27,000 machine new. imo, alfalfa isn't hard to cut, I can't say it did a satifactory job in 1st through 5th cuttings. .25 ton to the acre to 2 ton to the acre. I dont expect it to do a perfect job on the light hay. But on cuttings 1 to 1 1/2 ton to acre it should do better.
I agree, you should have no issues with alfalfa. MAYBE, the first cutting as it's usually stemmy, but not after that. You aren't talking about "tough" conditions in my opinion. I have a 9', 3 pt John Deere disc mower that will cut 2 ton alfalfa as fast as you can hold on in the tractor with no issues; something's not right. |
