| Actually today I was called out to ANOTHER 500 that lost it's backlight. This is getting ri-gah-dam-diculous. The one today the backlight didn't seem all the way off, just turned way low. Maybe it was the sunlight angle where I was holding the unit made it seem partially on. So I went to the config menu and wanted to check the backlight (instantly I thought perhaps he turned it down and forgot) upon entering backlight config I was suprised to see it at 20, the max. so I changed it down to 19 and low and behold the backlight came to life. NOW i'm wondering if there is a power save feature in these darn things much like a backlight timer on your cell phone. I can't wait for new firmware!!! | |
