| I dunno. Never had any problems with my TS90 so I've never been into that setup... I do know that the transfer case section is integral to the transmission.... which is probably not the brightest thing they ever came up with.
I think I'd start by lifting the front end up and play with the wheels and see if you can find the slack there... watch the driveshaft and the other wheel. Get someone to hold the other wheel, etc. Mabey a problem with the diff spiders or a u-joint.
The problem doesn't really make any sense to me... but I suppose if I had to guess I'd say it's in the transfer box and a bearing is gone in there that's allowing the driven member to come out of mesh when the reverse torque is applied.
Just for ****s and giggles I'd also check that the FWD solenoid on the right side of the transmission is DEenergized when this problem occours. If for some strange reason it was getting power when shifted to reverse it would disengage the FWD. Just a thought...
