I still think that a 200 hp/500 ft lbs of diesel engine power, setup that gets 30mpg would sell better then the 400 hp jobs out now. Wouldn't you check the one that gets twice the economy?
I sure would , around here the old 454"s still do the work , 250 h.p ,380 torque ,-If i remember right . And not in the useable RPM range like a diesel , Heck an old 12 valve cummins will pull all you need to pull with a pickup ,Just not as fast .
A very scant almost 10 mpg at 60 mph ,highway -no ac , 7 around town , 5 pulling hay .
