| Sheep will pack the ground and bring weed seeds from the previous field. We have used them to graze down alfalfa when it got too tall to spray for weeds over winter. If round-up ready alfalfa is allowed again, this might affect grazing. The amount of money involved is probably not much different than what you would get from selling the baled hay. We do not allow grazing in a clean. relatively new stand of alfalfa. An old stand can be as hard as a parking lot and is not going to pack much from sheep. | |
