Extreme SW Minnesota Iowa border
I have a truck crane, just like what you are working on. Its an american crane, Built in Broken Arrow OK. I have had it for years. From what I can see of your boom. You are asking to much of your base. My crane is about half the size of yours, and its got a 3/4" pin just like yours. But , my boom is only abou 4 feet long. And the part that the pins go in is forged steel. Its rated at 1800 pounds lift, and it will do that, but, like I said, its a lot shorter. I hate to say it, if you are going to stick with a boom that long, you better start over on the bottom, and do two things. Make your pivot and your holes further apart for leverage, and it needs to go on a full feed session of more and better iron. Hope that helps.
