If it were mine I would open the piviot pin hole up. The way it is built any "pulling" of the weldement will cause it to bind. I would open up one of the pivot holes with a die grider and carbide burr. If the hole gets larger than you like drill or grind the hole larger and use bushings to make it look better. Weld the bushings (tack weld at 12, 4, 8 -o- clock make sure it works smoothly, weld real good) You can put bushing on both sides so it looks engineered that way. :)
