Silver Lake, Kansas
I think I know you two well enough to jump in on this thread. :)

1) Verbiage: I have a book here in front of me which has a whole chapter on slang, colloquialisms and every day speech from prohibition through World War II. I suspect that expressions such as "I'm just saying" have been around for each generation. Dig it?

2) Fashion: B+rad and Rich, you do not even want to know what people wore sometimes when I was in high school. I am ashamed to admit to having a pair of plaid dress slacks in my career. People have complained about what others wore for years.

What I wear or what words I use in conversation is my call. What you wear or how you speak is your call. What I do care about is that I treat others with respect every day, and I hope that others would show that respect to me.

Thanks for making me think this evening.
