nebraska | As of right now, to control your seed rate, fertilizer, and monitor population, it would require TAC. It's a bit involved and not as simple as field IQ and costs more, but has more functions also. It doesn't sound like you will need more than 24 section controll in the future upgrade wich is all that TAC can control compared to the 48 section field IQ. I wouldn't hold your breath on the population monitoring and more than one chanel conrtoll for the field IQ. Things change soo fast in the precision farming field that until it is released you can't really rely on anything. There's been lots of things promised from all brands that don't happen. In these situations there are several ways it can be done. It always comes down to what you want it to do and how much you want to spend. But I guess you wanted opinions so mine would be TAC and do it all with one monitor. Reguardless find a good local dealer to work with. | |
