Grow - 10/16/2010 21:59 My gut instinct tells me that different crop roots have different soil penetration strengths during root growth, so the density of the soil is a major factor with regards to the ease of root penetration into the soil structure. I wonder if this can be measured accurately for various crop roots? The penetration ability of root tips by crop species has been measured accurately -- it's in the science literature.
