Darin,

The same general thing happens with AFS when you try to go from a working Trimble RTK system straight to an AFS display.  I thought it was just a Trimble issue since RTK is not supplied by Omni-Star but......?  The number disignation for something other than WAAS that was brought up rings a bell and I think some Trimble people know about it.  Hopefully at the very least they have addressed it with the "output" port from the newer FMD cabling.  I would doubt they have fixed it straight from the receiver output port but maybe new firmware will address that.  I will have to look into it because I will be using that same display on a new JD combine later this year.

I wonder if it could even be a "NMEA string standard" that everyone interprets a bit different when it is anything but WAAS or BEACON DGPS?  Just like there are many versions of the "shape file standard"........often times it seems "standards" are meant to be broken.
