That is a very interesting ? Don. I'm sorry to say that I don't know if you would lose anything in the reaction. My hope and guess is that you wouldn't. I'm just responding to jump on to your thread and ask my own ? in case any mad scientists reply.

Do you lose any N when you mix ammonium nitrate with water? I suspect I'd smell ammonia if its losing N. Its not the same as what you're doing since its just water and this mixture becomes cold but thought I'd ask. Also, if I dilute the Amm. Nitrate to a 20-0-0 can I blend with APP 10-34-0 without problem?
