Anyone have any side by side figures with geo vs a high effency gas furnace? I always here the $1 a day figure but my relation has geothermal and their power bill is just as much as my bill(heat pump) every month. The figure is no where even close to $1 a day with their water furnace.
I'll have to ask my dad, he has a seperate meter on his geo unit so he knows what it costs to run. He heavily encouraged us to install a geo unit here. I do remember when I was a kid, the geo was turned on for the first time, and the first month of a/c in dads old farm house cost him about $8 of electricty. |
