Nevada, Iowa | I don't mean to beat this subject to pieces but I know what you mean. Near one of my rented farms there is a "pasture" that is at least one whole 1/2 acre. I think there are four horses on it and they've eaten everything but the stone and the water hydrant. At least the owners are planning for winter as they have accumulated about 6 large rounds of hay. This is in the pasture too, surrounding by hot wires so the horses have to look at and smell what they can't have 24-7. They must be graining them or they would be dead by now but what an existence. I shouldn't have started.......
The beans that we have left from SDS are turning very slowly too, maybe they'll help out in the yield department. I have taken a little corn and was surprised on the good side.
So, are you saying there will be road apples in our Christmas stockings? (grin) | |
