Subject: Re: Duals on a combine

Our previous combine had "floater" type tires. Our current one has duals. I'd rather much have the big tires than the duals. Guy that bought our old combine had them taken off & duals put on. When I found that out I called the dealer to buy them back but he had already sold them. That was after running the combine with duals for just 3 days.

As for weight issues, there's several comines around here with the big tires running 12x30" heads & 35-40' platforms.

Down side to big tires is that if you ruin one they are expensive to replace. When we were pricing new combines, the big tires were $18,000 more than duals.
