Subject: Duals on a combine

Gothenburg, NE
Right now we run the single fat tire on our combine but would like to go with duals for the sake of not falling into pivot tracks/ditches as badly. We are on wide rows so the duals would be set pretty wide. I know a lot of guys run the wide set duals but I would rather not put all of the stress on things. One idea I was kicking around was having the duals being a slightly smaller diameter so that they barely touched the ground on level terrain but would hold the combine up out of the pivot tracks. I realize this would look rather ridiculous but it might save on some wear and tear and simply make it easier to turn the combine. Anyone ever experimented with this? Thanks.
