Thanks. Don't worry. I get sidetracked pretty quick too. :)

I like that huge bearing, but, um, naw. Too big.

I saw a SKF product that seemed to be some kind of a simple timer, you set it up to pop grease into the bearing at hourly intervals, up to 24 hours. About the size of an aspirin bottle. Thought that was a neat way to avoid 'forgetting' (not bothering cause I'm too busy) but likely too pricey.

I'll pester the fellows at my local bearing supply. They duck under the counter when I come, nothing worse than a fool full of questions :)

Oh, yeah. It is a 2 inch shaft, with cones to hold the inner race. Was thinking of making a 'sleeve' and rework the cones to press on a larger race. Should be a very very easy modification. Blades are something like 10 inches apart, so lots of space to put a double tapered in there I would think.
