Alton, Ia | Keep in mind there are four things in life you get paid for: Land, Capital, Labor or Management. Returns on rental properties are often higher than farmland, UNTIL you subtract something off for management of them. Think of owning land, not farming it, just owning it. Imagine yourself as a retired landowner. Your time investment per year is probably a dozen hours or so. Compared to rental houses, of several hours a week. Dealing with a very different class of tenants. When was the last time you heard of a judge getting involved to stop a farmer from using rented ground?
I'm not telling you not to do rentals, just do it with your eyes open. Email if you want to discuss more. | |
