Slicker than a Yes album.
Color me a bit paranoid (and anal) but after unloading the last data, I'll format the card. Then load the updates, update the screens and globes, then format again. After that, I'll reload the cards (gotta have a backup!) with the locater and setup info.
BTW, the Apex and updates worked for me, not so well for a neighbor.
Hold off on the new Apex update...
